There has been a considerable boom in entrepreneurial culture surfacing the markets of Karachi, specially related to Tech and so many talented minds are looking for investor support, technical or financial assistance to boost their ideas, grow them large, become the next Tesla or Jeff Bezos or Steve Jobs.

In order to make this struggle easier and pursuit possible, National Incubation Center, a state of the art technology hub that offers free work space, mentorship, networking, digital technical and financial resources for young Pakistani businesses in efforts to achieve high economic growth and sustainable development, is now kick-starting operations in Karachi

 

Having operated successfully at full throttle in most major cities of Pakistan, NIC Karachi has recognized the need for its commencement in the industrial hub of this country and will be launching a fully equipped facility very soon.

NIC is a public – private collaboration of Ministry of IT & Telecom, IGNITE (formerly National ICT R&D), LMKT, PTCL, HBL and PPAF.

LMKT – a full service tech company will cater to the designing and operations of the facility which will be located inside NED University and HBL will support in constructing a FinTech Lab.

NIC’s mission is to discover and back Karachi’s most talented entrepreneurs, help them create successful companies at scale, and build a thriving ecosystem.

NIC will assist the individuals in developing strategies, test methodologies and tools for businesses and contribute to capacity building of institutions, industry and entrepreneurs at local and national levels.

NIC Karachi held a press event on 23rd of April where the project commencement and MOU was signed, with a brief discussion on the need for an ecosystem in  Karachi.
