I might be little late to post this, but the hype that Spectre created in the audience a week ago was humongous and worth mentioning. So here I am writing about my experience of the movie as hosted beautifully by Collectibles, showcasing Omega watches, which was a key sponsor to the movie and happens to be a life saver in the flick too! (I won’t reveal much, in case you haven’t yet seen the movie – in case you have, you know what I am talking of)
Collectibles & Omega watches were the proud owners of this premiere platform and engaged a multiple activities to create a pre-hype for the event. social media was raging crazy with tweets and posts with sneak peak photos of the movie and Bond donned with the luxurious accessory followed with the hashtag #OmegaWithAMPM
AM:PM is a luxury outlet store that hosts some of the most exquisite watches in Pakistan, founded by Mr. Rameez Sattar, C.E.O. of Sonraj. In a brief interview, he spoke –
“We are proud to be partners with Omega and delighted to hold the Spectre 007 Premiere in Karachi. Omega has always been present in the watch retail of Pakistan that only reflects their commitment and trust in our market and consumers. This is the first ever-grand event of Omega with Collectibles and we look forward to many more such activities in the future, in the end I would say that we are just proud of being a part of the Omega Family”
The glamorous star studded premiere was held on the 6th of November at Nueplex cinemas Karachi. The show was hosted by Fia Khan – supermodel; whereas Amna Babar, Sadaf Hamid and Abrar Khan were dressed as the characters from Bond.
The outstanding feature of the evening were the children from Special Olympics Pakistan who were invited by the partners to enjoy the movie. Every celebrity and non celebrity present at the event was eager to be photographed with the splendid team. They seriously stole the heart of the evening
Now something about the movie – Spectre 007 is the 24th James Bond Film to have been produced by Eon Productions. With once again Daniel Craig playing James Bond while Christoph Walts plays Ernst Stravo Blofeld. The movie was directed by Sam Mendes making it his second bond film after Skyfall. With a budget of $300 million the movie has tied with Pirates of the Caribbean as the second most expensive film to ever be made. The overall cinematic experience was joyful and it kept the audience hooked to the last bit, although some parts of it were quite predictable, since Bond movies tend to follow a certain specific theme that one can easily foresee the next move.
After the show ended and we all spurted out, there was a photo collection spot where all the photos taken at the red carpet were framed in a photo card frame branded by AM:PM
