3 Bahadur – Pakistan’s First Animated Movie

I wasn’t too confident on how it would turn out, thinking it would just be another cartoon-flick with animated characters hopping here and there, sub par videography and music. BUT NO! 3 BAHADUR was completely the opposite of what I had expected it to be.

Waadi Animations hosted star studded premieres for #3Bahadur, Pakistan’s first animated full-length super hero film, in Karachi on 19th May and in Lahore on 20th May respectively. #3Bahadur is set to release on 22nd May 2015 in all digital cinemas across Pakistan.

I was one of the fortunate ones to be present at the premier, yes I would call myself fortunate, because I wouldn’t have been talking about it being awesome if I hadn’t seen it myself. Not to brag about the story or anything, but it was a marvellous first attempt, that too something that is going to launched nationwide and will hopefully gain some lauds globally too. The environmental detailing, culture and architecture was so beautifully sketched and animated, one could get a real look into the urban/ semi-urban lifestyle of our cities.

The story revolves around a group of friends, very different from one another but all sharing a “certain loss” in common that triggers them to unite and use their bravery as the tool of their success. #3Bahadur is about Amna, Kamil and Saadi who attain super powers and use them to save their town ‘Andher Basti’ from the evil over lord Mangu. It is a story about courage, heroism, loyalty and friendship that will inspire the next generation to realize that they hold the power to change the future of Pakistan for the better.

The brutal truth – some evil goon

The movie has some huge names in its creation and production like the Academy Award Winning Film Director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Salman Iqbal, Director Waadi Animations/Founder and President, ARY Digital Network, Shiraz Uppal, who gave a tremendous music track to the film that is catchy, punk and still lingering on my tongue.

The full-house premier was well attended by a diversity of film enthusiasts, media and film personalities, actors, actresses, artists, fashion industry leaders and esteemed members of the press alike in both cities including film and TV personalities Ali Zafar, Meesha Shafi, Meera, Alyy Khan, Bahroz Sabzwari, Sikander Rizvi, Ayesha Omar, Humayun Saeed, Ahmed Ali Butt, Sohai Ali Abro, Khaled Anam, Adnan Malik, Jami, Saqib Malik, Nida Yasir, Yasir Nawaz, Danish Taimoor, CEO ARY Digital Network among many others.
